Sharing Materials
According to Absalon University College’s Copydan agreement a student may share scans of the syllabus literature with their classmates if they comply with the following restrictions.
-
- You may scan 20% of the material, but no more than 30 pages.
- The above restriction applies per student per semester.
- If your teacher or classmate has already shared the allowed number of pages from a piece of material, you are not allowed to scan anymore pages from that material.
-
You are only allowed to share articles and materials on social media, if they’re from publicly available websites.
The materials you access through Absalon’s agreements may not be uploaded or shared on social media.
This also applies to materials that comply with the 20% limit, even if it is, for example, a closed group on Facebook.
For the teachers
You may copy and scan a maximum of 20% but no more than 30 pages of each material.
However, the library strongly recommends that you link all files from the web if they are over 30 pages instead of downloading and sharing them.
This also applies to anything downloaded from government agency sites such as the Danish Health Authority or similar.
You can share the materials with your students by
- Handing out papers in class.
- Sharing them digitally on iPads, Smartboards, Teams, Zoom etc.
- Sharing them digitally on Absalon's password-protected platforms such as OneNote.
- Share them digitally on ItsLearning.
You may not:
- Share the materials with anyone other than students and employees at University College Absalon.
- Share the materials via email, websites or social media - not even in closed groups.
- Share articles, even if they are available online, on Itslearning - these must be linked to instead.
