Recording During Class
Teaching is considered intellectual property, which means that the teacher has the copyrights when teaching a class.
Furthermore, recordings of teaching are covered by the Data Protection Act, so teaching can only be recorded and shared if the teacher gives their consent.
Note:
The teacher can withdraw their consent at any time.
Before recording during class, you should:
- Get consent from your teacher to record audio or video during class for personal use.
- Get consent from your teacher if the recordings are to be shared with others.
- Get consent from everyone present, both regarding recording and sharing the recordings.
- Make sure to get permission to share all copyrighted material shown during class.
