Quotes and Plagiarism

It’s common to quote short passages from books and other sources, when writing an assignment.

However, remember to:

Type the quote correctly.
Make it clear that it’s a quote.
Type the citation correctly and make sure it corresponds to the reference standard of your assignment.

Plagiarism

It may be a case of plagiarism if:

You use someone else’s material as if it were your own, without properly citing the original sources.
You reuse passages from your previous assignments without specifying where they’re from.

This is not allowed, so remember to always cite your sources.
