Loan and borrowing request policy

Institutional patrons can borrow and reserve library materials. However, in special cases, the library may prioritize the service of the library's primary users, taking into account the library's purpose.

The loan period is 30 days for academic materials.

Borrowed materials can be renewed 8 times via our website. Lost or damaged material will be replaced, cf. University College Absalon Library's current terms of loan.

Lending materials and copy delivery to Danish libraries is free of charge.

University College Absalon Library participates in the Interlibrary loan between libraries in Denmark.
 

Internal procedure

Orders from institutional patrons are checked daily. The orders are processed and the requested material is sent via the national delivery service to the hub library within 2 business days. If the material is on loan, a reservation is made. If the order cannot be fulfilled, information is sent to the institutional borrower via e-mail.
